We Are IKE!

Every year since 2017, we have had the tradition of the WE ARE IKE photo. We gather around the commons in the WE ARE IKE shirts of the year, graciously given to us by the WE ARE IKE club on the first day of school. This year, on October 24th, we had the pleasure of renewing the photo, with 1500+ students showing up to celebrate and show school pride in their awesome shirts!

Each year we take this photo, it becomes a keepsake and the color of the entering freshman class. This year, the shirt color is black; this color will follow the freshman from now until their senior year to represent them. This is one of the very fun opportunities that students here at IKE get to help them feel welcomed in their first year here.

Not every school in the valley gets to do things like this, including the yearbooks. The yearbooks that Ike hands out at the end of the year are also possible due to the WE ARE IKE club. Just like the shirts, the students don't spend a dime to get any of these items. Every year, 2000 yearbooks are passed out to our students. These things are free because of the work that the WE ARE IKE Club puts in. Eisenhower believes that all students deserve to have memories from their high school years without having to worry about money stopping them from keeping these fun years in their lives in a shared keepsake.

So, Cadets, remember when you get your free Ike shirt, you should wear it with pride, as it will be one of the high school memories you will get to keep!
