A Stitch In Halloween
Costume Club didn’t appear overnight, but the first official event they participated in was the Trunk-or-Treat. The theme for their trunk was Minecraft, as it expressed a few of the members’ creative processes, as not many aim for an idea that is not as spooky as the others. For many teens, finding a community that shares their creative spark can change everything.
With Costume Club, those passionate about clothing design, sewing, and fabric arts finally have a space to share skills, ideas, and a bit of laughter. Not everyone who joined has much sewing experience, but that is part of the fun. Some students are in the club to teach others a skill they have learned; the club's ethos is rooted in sharing knowledge, not hoarding it. The club offers a safe place to experiment with fashion - no need to worry about perfection or likes, only about learning and having fun. Join the Costume Club if you are interested in everything listed above. Find them in Mr. Dewitt’s class, room 310, which meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:35 to 3:45.
