Are there any fun video games to play right now?
There is a ton right now. There is Tomadachi Life: Living the Dream, Pokopia, Pragmata, and Mouse Pi for hire! Personally, I have been having a lot of fun with Tomodachi Life and Pokémon Go!
What are One Acts?
One acts are what they sound like, one act of a play or musical directed by seniors in drama club. They are super fun to be a part of because it is all student-run. They are a good opportunity to put yourself out there for the first time, rather it be for acting or tech!
What do I do to get out of my academic slump?
I would say this is a big conversation to be had for students. Some good methods to try and get out of it are communicating with your teachers, peers, and family. They will always be your biggest support. For me, I use lists and calendars when things start piling on, this allows me to be organized and get ahead of deadlines before they happen.
Is it too late to ask my crush out to prom?
You still have time! I’d say too late is like Friday night, because by that point, they’re going to have a solid timeline for when things are going to happen. It is also a matter of preference when figuring out when it is too early or too late.
How do I know if I should continue the AP route when I don’t get good grades in the course?
AP courses are very hit and miss. It is not a bad thing to want to drop a course, especially if you’re getting bad grades on tests and are unable to keep up with the work load. It is okay to try an AP course and not like it; you are able to drop it at mid-term or the end of the semester after speaking with your teacher and counselor. If you truly do not understand the topics that are being taught, its time to consider if this specific course is working for you or not.
This girl I like keeps sending me mixed signals, but I don’t know if she likes girls, how can I find out.
Be blunt about it. Tell her you like her. Even if you’re unsure. They are just like any other person.
Is it okay to not follow the prom theme?
The theme is not required; it is optional but highly encouraged. In all honesty, I don’t think I’ve ever been on theme. This year’s theme is black swan and my dress is light pink.
How do you feel about prom tickets being $25?
I do not have strong opinions on this topic because I am not the one paying for my own ticket. I understand the reasoning behind us paying for the tickets. I also understand that it is frustrating and that even $25 can be a steep price for some students. While I will never truly see the full benefits of paying for prom tickets, I’m interested to see what's in store.
Can I still apply to FAFSA?
FAFSA is still open until June 30th! However, different schools have different deadlines for when you should turn in your FAFSA. For underclassmen, it is important to apply to FAFSA as soon as possible!
