What Are We Doing Tonight? Date Ideas

I can confidently say that I love going on dates; I love the all-around feeling I get, no matter what I do with my partner or even my friends on a random weekend (not romantically). Relationships are a time of growth and learning for not only you but your partner as well. Dates are a time to step away from your crazy, chaotic life for a while to pay attention and better understand yourself and whoever you're with. You also don’t have to empty your wallet to go on a date, either. It is important to put what the person you're with loves to do, but also what you enjoy doing, so you both enjoy the time together.

Walk around the Yakima Arboretum - For small fun things, collect flowers, cloud watch, and if you’re feeling up for it (If you’re eighteen), you can volunteer to walk a dog that is staying at the Yakima Humane Society.

Walking around the Antique store - The antique store is perfect if you like older sets of knick-knacks. They have a wide variety of items to purchase, and you only find out what they have if you go in!

Go to Randal Park and feed the ducks - If the day is beautiful outside, go have a picnic and feed the ducks, but if you do go, don’t feed the ducks bread. Make the ducks a healthy vegetable water; bread isn’t good for their stomachs and is hard to digest.

Maybe you do like having money spent on you, maybe you prefer staying inside cause the day’s weather didn’t go as planned. Don’t panic and do nothing or just watch movies all day (nothing's wrong with that), there are still a lot more things that you can do instead too:

Make pizza from scratch - Some people think this is really hard, but it is only complicated if you make it complicated. Especially if you have plans for this coming Valentine's Day, make heart-shaped pizzas!

Do you like sushi? - If you want some cheap sushi, go to any New York Teriyaki restaurant in town; the wait times aren’t super long, and you can tell that their food is made of and with love. Or maybe this is even out of your comfort zone for pricing or even flavor. Personally, Fred Meyer's has fresh sushi daily that is very cheap as well.

Maybe you like Korean food? - 10 out of 10 Joy Garden is the best when it comes to Korean food; anything on their menu is amazing.

These are only a few ideas; obviously, there are a gazillion different date ideas. Finding out what ones you like and that suit your tastes, as well as whoever you are with, is key.
