New Coach, New Season, New Goals
Spring is coming up, and Softball season is right around the corner, and there is already so much excitement building. This year, the team has a new head coach, Nate Esparza. Even though official practices haven't started yet, open gyms are beginning, and players are getting back in the gym to prepare for the season. It's a chance for the team to start building chemistry and get ready for the season ahead.
Coach Esparza is bringing a fresh start to the program. With a new coach comes many new ideas and changes, and the team is looking forward to the changes for the better. The team's goal this year is to work hard, improve skills, and build a stronger team overall.
The team will be led by four seniors: Annaka Yockey, Ellie Suhm, Zabella Hickenbottom, and Thalia Garza. As the most experienced players, they will play an important role in leading the team and setting a good example for some of the underclassmen. Their leadership will help guide the team through this new chapter.
As the beginning of the season nears, excitement is at an all-time high. With open gyms kicking off and a new head coach, this softball season is shaping up to be a fresh start for the program. Be sure to come out and support the team this spring!
