Photo Club
Have you ever wanted to capture a moment for life, but you can’t get the lighting right? Well, there’s a club just for you. Eisenhower’s photo club is one of the many clubs we have here in our cadet community. I’m interviewing the president of the photo club, Kaden Moberly!
What does the photo club do?
The photo club mainly focuses on finding the proper techniques and angles to capture unforgettable moments. You get to learn how the camera works and everything behind the scenes. It’s super fun and engaging to be able to understand your own cool pictures!
What’s the main goal for this club?
Kaden talks about how this club wants to teach others about photography. They want to be able to learn but also do it in a calm, fun environment. "The main goal for the photography club is to create a fun and educational environment for people of all knowledge levels to come learn about photography and how they can do it themselves.” So go and have fun with your friends!
What’s a reason why people should join?
Now you’re thinking, why should I join? Well, here at the photo club, it’s a great space to have fun and learn about photography. It’s an excellent opportunity to take, even if it’s something you want to do for fun! Even Kaden agrees.”People should join photo club because we create a safe, fun, and educational environment to learn about photography and also provide multiple options in terms of competitions to show off and grow your skills as a photographer.”
Favorite memory with the club?
A favorite memory Kaden shared with me was when they went to SkillsUSA. This is an organization that serves colleges, high schools, middle schools, etc.“ My favorite memory from photo club is probably SkillsUSA, which is one of the amazing competitions we offer and an amazing experience to compete in something of that scale, especially if you make it to state.”
How do you feel about this upcoming year?
The photo club has been working super hard on fundraising and getting their club out there for cadets to join. “I feel optimistic for this upcoming year. We have been putting a lot of work into fundraising and getting more members, and we have a lot of new faces excited to learn photography!” They’re all super excited to grow the club and just have fun learning new skills.
Thank you, Kaden and photo club! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others and even earn some fire photography skills.
