Ike Power Couple

     While most couples live on constant eggshells, Zabella Hickenbottom and Victor Garcia thrive together. On October 21, 2024, a power couple was born. Through every possible challenge life could throw at them, Zabella and Victor learned how to grow side by side. With kindness in their souls and shifting mindsets, both allowed their lives to intertwine and provide for one another.

     Working together, significant accomplishments started appearing in their wake. After Zabella received a D1 scholarship offer in September, Victor followed up with an acceptance letter from a school with a 4% acceptance rate: the University of Washington School of Medicine. Despite these wins, they maintain a private relationship and choose not to boast; instead, they appreciate their success quietly, though they certainly deserve recognition.

     Not only have they built paths for their own futures, but they have also contributed to their community along the way. Participating in Mr. IKE for the past two years, they have dedicated countless hours to community service. This was a major commitment on top of an already busy schedule filled with AP classes, sports, the gym, family, and friends. Yet, they manage it all with grace while remaining amazing people.

     Ultimately, Zabella and Victor are more than just a couple; they are a blueprint for success. While it isn’t always easy, they choose each other over and over again through every struggle. Zabella was hesitant about me writing this, as she prefers quiet accomplishments and privacy, but with so much to celebrate, they deserve the praise. If I had to bet on any relationship, I would bet on theirs.
