Eisenhower Tennis
The Eisenhower tennis team began its exciting season by hosting its first jamboree at the Yakima Tennis Club, where the Cadets competed against Selah, La Salle, and Naches. This event allowed players to gain early match experience before the season.
One of the many highlights of the day came during the Girls' number 1 singles, where Emily Lombness had outstanding rallies throughout the entire 20-minute match with Naches, ending with a 3-3 tie. Her consistency on the court showed Eisenhower's amazing effort during the jamboree.
On the boys' side, Eisenhower's number 1 singles player Juven Martinez earned a tie against Naches, with a score of 3-3 after a challenging match.
Overall, the tennis team ended the jamboree with 12 wins, and gave the team a strong start to the season. Although this event was primarily for fun, the Cadets showed promising potential for both singles and double matches. This allowed players to prepare for the upcoming competition, build a team, and sharpen their skills.
