Slowpitch Senioritis

These few seniors have been participating in slow pitch for 3-4 years. When playing any sport you make so many memories and experiences with the people in it. Even if they are positive or negative, there are still times in your life that you are bound to remember

Alayna Dunsworth

“Being a senior is just insane. I can’t imagine being a senior right now, even though I am. My mom made me join softball in my sophomore year, and I really enjoyed it. So I continued to play for the last two years I had left. I think overall, the best thing that I got out of softball was most likely the memories I have. It's, you know, full of a  lot of my friendships I cherish.”

Lyric Barragan

“I think that being a senior is really exciting, but it’s also kind of sad. I think I’ve created a lot of friendships over the past couple of years. I used to play baseball, and I had to join a high school sport, so softball was the closest option for me. I think the best thing I got out of softball was a lot of good memories and a lot of good friends that I probably am going to have for the rest of my life.”

Lillyana Luviano

“I feel like such an old woman, to be honest. I feel so old, and I can feel it in my heart. I committed to softball because of my friend Emily Hardinger, who told me to play ball, and I did. Throughout the time I played, I liked it because of all the girls and bonds I made with everyone. I think I can say that the best thing I got out of softball was really the strong relationship. I love all of them and just how many I have made. 

Shilene Wheeler

“I don’t know, man, it was fun, I guess. I was glad to play the game. My Grandma used to play it when she was in high school, so I figured that since I started playing when I was younger, I just told myself to keep playing. The best thing I got out of the ball was getting a concussion… just kidding, it would probably be making friends and being able to learn more about a sport I enjoy playing.”
